Most likely Texas State, North Texas Teachers College or UT-Arlington
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

That is good for our grad rates because he would be taken out of the mix- right?

To me, seems to say, whether he intially left thinking he would go pro or for whatever reasons, once he stepped away from the team the team would not let him back into the fold.
I hope he graduates, and if he ever plays pro i'll say he was a mustang. Good luck to Keith

Seems like UTA is good enough that they would be above bringing in a possibly disruptive force.
And he gets a half season to play right? Unless he sits out a year and a half and then he'd get a full season. I doubt his handlers would go for the latter.

No, we lose a point if he transfers.

Ulric Maligi used to work/recruit for UT-Arlington. That is probably why they are so good now and a potential Tournament team this year.

Well he can't play this season, he would just have to sit out next. Then he could play one.

With Sed also transferring, where does that put us? Seems that when NCAA penalties are leveled and a lot of kids transfer, a school could get hit with the initial NCAA penalty and then later with the academic penalty that was likely caused by the NCAA penalty. That does not seem right...

Not great. Potentially on the apr bubble. That is why we would prefer to get him a pro contract somewhere. That would give us the point back.

He can sit out this semester and next, and be eligible spring 2017. And he would have only that half season. Or he could sit out that semester and be eligible for all of 2017-18

Transferring due to sanctions is a different matter I believe.

If they transfer with a 2.6 or higher we are fine. Of the two at issue in this thread, one likely has that and one likely doesn't. I'll leave the tea leave reading to y'all
