2016-2017 Bracketology ThreadModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower Re: 2016-2017 Bracketology ThreadI wish we could get them again. We should have beaten them badly
Re: 2016-2017 Bracketology Thread
So the other 57 all seed SMU higher than USC? The teams are close (http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketb ... on/SMU/USC). I figured a higher RPI and head-to-head win would give USC an advantage. But hey, we are only in the middle of January![/quote] ~57 have SMU higher or tied with USC. SMU is just slightly above USC in the overall matrix. Both 7 seeds.
Re: 2016-2017 Bracketology Threadjust need to finish strong but 7/10 game might be the best we can hope for, unless we slip to an 11 or even a 12 seed which is a position I kind of like as a path to the sweet 16
Re: 2016-2017 Bracketology Thread
If we are ranked going into the postseason, a #6 seed isn't out of the question.
Re: 2016-2017 Bracketology Thread
I would take it either way...as the 6 or as the 11, like UCLA was against us 2 years ago
Re: 2016-2017 Bracketology ThreadI will take anything! Just get me to the dance!
Long live Inez Perez!

playing in 8/9 match-up vs Seton Hall. Next up is #1 seed Baylor "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: 2016-2017 Bracketology ThreadWe would have a nice crowd in Tulsa I would think. Prob not as many as Baylor though if that matchup really happened and they were a 1 seed. That would be fun...
Re: 2016-2017 Bracketology Thread
That would be a sweet 16 draw with Florida State in the second round. I always think the ESPN bracket forecasts intentionally overreact in making "interesting" matchups, like us playing Kansas State in the first round with Jank. Shake It Off Moody

7 seed vs. Seton Hall in Orlando would play L'ville next "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."

Would love to have a chance to get Louisville back. Shake It Off Moody

Bilas Index 22. SMU Mustangs SMU has won 13 of its past 14 games and has been dominant on the offensive glass. The Mustangs grab 40.7 percent of their missed shots, the third-highest rate in Division I. SMU averages 13.2 second-chance points per game, trailing only first-place Cincinnati among AAC teams. Re: 2016-2017 Bracketology ThreadBarring a huge upset in our tourney, AAC looking like a 2 bid league. Hopefully, we have another 4-5 teams in NIT and other tourneys
