And yeah, we’d be the [deleted] right now with Semi. But I’d take next year’s crew with Shake over this year’s with Semi. The four frosh would have a year under their belts. IMIKE joins the party. Agau and McMurray return having a season already played with Shake, Jarrey and Whitt.
Shake, Jarrey, Whitt, McMurray, Landrum, Douglas, Hunt, IMIKE, Agau, Chargois, Ray, Jackson
Damn.
Besides..... Semi is gone. Shake isn’t!
Also, don't forget about Young. He's 6'9" so with some S&C he may be able to give a little front court depth. Then you have Maxey on deck. I think that's a sweet 16 team and then you bring in Maxey. Keep the momentum going. "Ojai slits wrist"? Really? November is “Renew your scrip month at Walgreens.”

Since this thread has already drifted, I'll go ahead and continue the drift.
I'm starting to feel less stressed about this team.
When the rotation inevitably tightens, we will be counting on our most minutes and production from:
1. A four-star player who is likely an NBA first rounder next year (Shake) 2. A four-star player who is in his third collegiate year and second season (Whitt) 3. A player who feels like he should have been 4-star when he came out, if not for the knee injury he had in high school (Jarrey) 4. A fifth-year senior who does all of the little things well (Gu)
I know we have a lot of questions about Akoy and McMurray and how the freshmen will hold up against top competition, but with the above guys and just a little bit of help from Akoy, McMurray, Chargois, Ray, Douglas, or Landrum, I think we could put a scare into anybody we play now and hopefully by the time we play USC or WSU or Cincy we would not only put a scare into them but actually find a way to steal one.

I think the key is to make sure we don't foul like we did last year, and making sure we are able to get the other team's key player in foul trouble early with our guards. I'm afraid what will happen if either Shake or Jarrey get in foul trouble.

Who is Jackson? Jackson is our secret weapon. He is eligible in the spring semester.

Jackson is actually our newly available shot doctor (for Whitt) and offensive guru

I’m with you. I’m not that worried about this team. I think it will come together nicely down the stretch. Shake and Jarrey have stepped up so far. Chargois is giving more than we could have imagined. And Gu is doing all the little things and hitting 3’s. Whitt to me just neeeds a breakout game to get his offensive confidence up, but is playing alright. Akoy will help big time on big man D and rebounding if nothing else. And McMurray will allow us to not have to rely on Douglas and Landrum much come Conference, while those two develop. I think we will have a nice 7-8 man rotation come Conference that will be pretty tough.
