Maybe 1 Shake It Off Moody
Re: Other scores of interestHouston is guaranteed to get a bid. Cincinnati, UCF and the rest still have work to do but depending how the wins are distributed anwhere from 2-4 is very likely. This league is less top heavy but better all around than it has ever been aside from the first season with Louisville.
Re: Other scores of interest
We should get 2-3, but the NCAA has never done The American any favors in terms of selection, seeding, or regional placement. I could totally see them leaving Cincy out because of a terrible loss to Eastern Carolina to let a tenth ACC team in. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Other scores of interestWichita State loses at home to Temple in OT after turning it over 21 times and blowing an 8 point lead down the stretch in regulation.
Re: Other scores of interest
Temple putting together a really nice season so far. 11-3 with a SOS rank of 44. Unlike some 10-4 team I can think of with a SOS of 245. Shake It Off Moody
Re: Other scores of interestI’d rather play Temple off an OT road win than a loss. UH at Temple Wednesday night.
Also Wednesday night, TCU at KU. Will the Frogs lose only its second game (home loss to Lipscomb)? KU is mad after losing at ISU.
Re: Other scores of interest
I watched this game. Temple showed experience and poise. They went down big early and just kept hammering away. They had a lead in the first minutes of the game and then never again until right at the end. They are good. They can play. The Shockers looked very inexperienced and lost all poise in the second half and again in The overtime. They have a couple of very promising young guys, especially Dexter Dennis and the big who is Sitting Bull’s third cousin or something like that. They also have some guys who appeared useless: Stephenson, who played like a true deer in the headlights frosh and JUCO transfer Torres, who we were all wet and creamy about until Marshall snagged him. No loss there.... useless. Bevertheless, WSU will be tough at home. It’s a tough place to play. Party at The Wopper!
Re: Other scores of interestI think another challenge you have when a lot of the conference teams are rebuilding is that teams like WSU and Memphis are going to be better by the end of conference play, and losing to those teams is going to cost some cred with the NCAA.
Cincy has enough street cred to overcome a bad loss. Houston is the program that doesn't. They are in the situation SMU was in a few years ago, when a couple bad losses down the stretch could keep them out regardless of record. They have to keep playing well through the season. The only way AAC gets a third team is if a third team steps up and separates themselves in conference. SMU, UCF, and Temple are the only teams in position to do that right now. The games at UConn and at Memphis are going to go a long way to determine whether or not SMU still has a shot.
Re: Other scores of interestThere is going to be a lot of balance in the AAC this year and road wins are going to be huge, so that makes the game this week at UConn the biggest test for our team since Georgetown. I think we are going to see a lot of teams finish in the 10-8 to 8-10 range and if everyone beats everyone up, the AAC just might become a 1-2 bid league.
Re: Other scores of interest
UCONN is a mess right now having gone “zero for Florida.” Either the meltdown in Sorrs continues for Hurley playing Ollie’s guys or they get their $h!t together for SMU. Party at The Wopper!
Re: Other scores of interestBut they have always been tough on their home court
Re: Other scores of interestNot as good this year on their home court. In fact they just lost on their home court. This is the year to beat UConn at their place while they are rebuilding.

Re: Other scores of interestESPN has UConn favored by 65%. This team needs a solid road victory to build confidence for the next two home games!
Re: Other scores of interest
This is the year? We have won in Hartford/Storrs three of the last five years. And we are 8-3 against UConn since the start of the AAC. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
