He is better than Sas or Bhop.

SMU - TAMCC Game ThreadModerators: PonyPride, SmooPower I think Doh went through a lot of lineup tinkering due to our BB program doesn't have enough established upperclassman (that he can rely on). Most of our team are new...a lot of freshman, sopho, and some transfers. It only makes sense for Coach Doh to try different combinations and get to see how players react to each others in game situation. We are not done with tinkering yet. I think 4 out of 5 positions are somewhat settled. Once we have the starting 5...then bench and time management must be in plan. A long way to go...but it's good to get a win and a blowout!
I think that Coach has told these fresh & soph's that they can come to SMU & play right away & help turn this program around. Its hard not to play them when u told them they will get PT. He even said on his post game remarks that it was hard not playing as many kids. Its a tough call but winning coaches make that call by choosing the players that give u the best chance to win every game. The tinkering with the lineup madness finally stopped today but it did look like for awhile that the madness was going to continue.
Went to the game. McCoy is the real McCoy and Faye is defintely a hooper. Those 2 along with Williams should be in the game the majority of the time.

Dude, I love your passion for the Ponies. Speak your mind anytime. Both of us are tired of the losing & when u see them play like they did today it just makes u scratch your head & wonder what's up with this team/coach.
Doh can tell all his players that they've had a reasonable shot and these are his starting guys who will get the time unless they get hurt or play badly enough that someone else can step in and take their spot. I think we've had time for Doh to have finished try-outs and to annoint the horses he's gonna ride in the parade. We still have no conference losses, so the season is not a loss if we do well in conference. We won't beat Memphis for the title, but the rest of the conference is about on par with us right now. If we finish in the top four in the conference that would be huge for us.
