Again TB if "bad coaching and great talent" is the antithesis of your position, what is it that you postulate that we have?
Great coaching and bad talent? Ok coaching and ok talent? Good coaching and less than mediocre talent? Passable coaching and no talent? Good coaching and good talent?
Havent seen one argument from you that the 5th choice is what you believe, so it must be one of the others, right?
By the way, didnt UH let Penders go after he got them into the tournament by means of a CUSA tournament win? Or did he resign? Either way a ticket to the dance wasnt the end all be all there..sometimes it's time to move on. If it's not-and that's your privilege to hold that opinion-I'd like to know your reasoning. Not for reasons of impeaching you, but to try and see your point

Dear Maharishi Malesh Yogi aka Hoopmanx and followers: Please go over to the "SMU Hoops experts" house tonight and chant the Mantra; We have bad coaching but great talent, we have bad coaching but great talent, we have bad coaching but great talent, and then when you have a "vision" of the next coach feel free to pass it on to Hoopmanx who you think would be the chosen one to lead the Mustangs to the promise land. Make sure hoopmanx is up in front with legs crossed in SMU gear and all the "followers" chant and then get up when you have a vision of that coach and yell for example BOB KNIGHT or HOOPMANX, ETC. Please report back your pick for the new SMU Coach. Hey did that uptempo Sasser experience really help with attendance? What did we average - 6,500 per game?
I have plenty of guys I'd take over Doh right now. Doesn't mean they are the messiah or guaranteed to succeed, just means we've done the Doh thing, and it doesn't win much. You keep thinking we're well coached, when we gave up a shot clock violation w/our last real possession, w/only 14 or 15 seconds to go. You keep defending losses to Jackson St, Fresno, ORU, even Rice & OSU. None of those look like good losses, or are good losses. The tale of the tape has Doh getting his [deleted] kicked so far this year. Hopefully, we fight back

We arent UMass or Memphis or UCF. Yes only text messages. Yes I laugh at them being called "major violations." But, yes, it does contradict your position of "no hint of NCAA violations." And in truth, same family of stuff that eventually ruined Kelvin Sampson and took down not one but two programs, one of which is finally getting back to where it was. Division I Committee on Infractions Issues Decision on Southern Methodist University INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions has found that Southern Methodist University committed major violations in its men's basketball program. The violations in the case were limited to impermissible text messages sent by members of the men's basketball staff to parents of at least seven prospective student-athletes. Penalties in this case include two years probation and recruiting restrictions. http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/sportat ... ram_sl.php

I dont disagree with you there. Now that we have established that, what's a reasonable timeframe and reasonable gauge for the HC position? Another 3, 4, 6 years? See how this year's class looks when they are seniors? Or just go ahead and make him HC emeritus and ride out the doldrums hoping the ship gets rightened some time after we're playing in the Big East? I'm not belittling you for holding any of these opinions, if you do. Again, just curious to know.
