Re: SAE: Get a clueYou have got to be f'ing kidding me! You always have to find something to [deleted] about! Always! It doesn't really matter if we become a top 25 program, you will still find something to [deleted] about! Wow! The kids have to wear their shirts, but they were the only ones cheering-you old farts were all quiet and did not even cheer when we scored so STFU!

I sense that FTHP pledged SAE this year
Re: SAE: Get a clue
Right there with you. The fact that this thread even exists is ridiculous. Dress as an Elf! Dress as a Lobster! As long as you're in a seat at the game, who cares! For those who, like me, suffered through so many years of going to every single home game in that near-empty stadium where you could hear the echo of your own voice and individual cheers from the other side of the arena, it's cause for rejoicing that so many people are interested in, and attending, SMU basketball games. So now we have a winning program and are beginning to generate interest in a way some have not seen in their lifetimes, and what do we do? We accost a group of freshman pledges for wearing jerseys they are required to wear as part of their pledgeship. These Joan Rivers Fashion Police board members need to get a life.
Re: SAE: Get a cluedrama queen. suggesting they actually wear their school colors instead of fraternity colors is hardly accosting anyone. Jeez. Just because we sucked forever doesn't mean we should point out when to make something better. Just wear school colors. Then we are on to the next thing to improve. Simple
Re: SAE: Get a clue
when we sell-out consistently, then let's worry about the attire of the attendees. if the sae's are being asses, their chapter will take of them. from this entire thread, all they did was wear their letters...so what. ![]()
Re: SAE: Get a cluenobody said they were asses - they were great. Need more fans just like them. Big fun.
They just need to wear red or blue. they can slap their letters all over anything red or blue. It aint that tough.
Re: SAE: Get a clue
I guess I got worked up when a fella on here reported that he had walked up to a pledge during the Hofstra game and asked him "why the hell" he was wearing an SAE jersey. That's accosting, in my opinion. In any event, I fully support the wearing of red and blue at all b-ball games ![]()
Re: SAE: Get a clueCan we get 1,000 Elvis in lower section for Memphis game?
White shirts, black wigs, glasses. Get together...make it happen.
Re: SAE: Get a clue89 - that is an awesome idea. although it might fall into "honoring your opponent" - ala
Re: SAE: Get a clueDid Duke fans burn up the internet complaining about their fan who showed up in a Speedo? (Wait -- of course not. It was blue.) This is insane. We like the Elf Guy and Lobster Man WHO ARE GREAT ADDITIONS TO THE CROWD, but we get upset about greek jerseys.
Cheers to 86 for doing something, rather than simply complaining. "What kind of weirdo school are they running over there in Fort Worth?"

Re: SAE: Get a clueWho gives a [deleted], we won!! That's what f'ing matters. Let's win tomorrow and keep this fun season rolling
Pony up!!!
Re: SAE: Get a clueSeriously - we are 14-4 and getting serious national press about making THE TOURNAMENT, and we have a 10-page thread about what 25 fans wore to the game?
Shake It Off Moody
Re: SAE: Get a clueIf you think this is a 10 page fashion thread, you are missing it. It's a why-can't-you-devote-two-and-a-half-hours-fully-to-your-school-instead-of-your-own-self-interests thread, which epitomizes the disconnect between students and Athletics that we are always bemoaning.
