My dad was the original Madman. Drove into NYC daily in a carpool of five in the late 50's and early 60's in a huge Cadillac owned by one but operated and financed by the collective. At one point the owner brought it in to Earl's for a paint job. After he dropped it off my dad called in, impersonating his buddy, and changed the color to hot pink. Best. Prank. Ever.

Philly waking up to a foot of snow and gusts to 40 knots this morning. And that's pretty much at the halfway point.

I hope our team is comfy, warm and resting....not like Duquense!

WINTER STORM STRANDS DUQUESNE HOOPS
The good news: The Dukes won a big road game Friday. The bad news: They are still trying to get home. Stuck on the highway.

Now at 13 hours marooned on the Pennsylvania TPK.

I live next door, although I'm not into cigars at all.

Nice. When I was there just stayed in that part of town. Lots of great bars and restaurants. I liked it a lot.

I have found good cigar shop is like a barbershop as far as being friendly and knowledgeable about local places of interest.

What is the weather like up there today?

Yup. It's the best (and most expensive) area in Philly. It's pretty bad out today. I was in bed basically all day. I worked late last night and had to walk a mile cumulatively between walking to the Septa station after work and walking to my apartment after getting off at my stop and it wasn't particularly fun. I loaded up on food 2 days in advance, so I'm good for at least another 3-4 days. It's supposed to be in the 50s in under 2 weeks, so it should pass pretty quickly.
