You could just replace the text in offending posts with something like "Go Frogs!" or "I love purple", which would result in sufficient mocking for the offenders.

I still miss SF FAN. He was the best football handicapper I have ever seen. They banned him a few years ago and now my bookie kills me...

That might actually work. "I really hope the President will give SMU the Amon Carter Stadium!"
