It was covered in the Dallas Morning News this morning, so that coverage should offset any loss of recruits attributable to the new building.

Bunch of people talked about SMu and basketball and money and buildings. Then everybody at nachos and hot dogs.

Good thing you didn't pick journalism as your profession.

Unless you were sitting in the front row and had a flash brighter than the sun, photography wasn't going to work -- very dark inside the tent. I'm sure the DMN will have a clear (albeit small) shot, because they -- at least I assume it was the DMN -- had a photog with a monster flash who was bouncing around blinding people. Hot dogs were a little rubbery.
But dammit, they broke ground on what sounds like it's going to be an absolutely first-rate facility. Coach Rompola, Coach Doherty, Steve Orsini, President Turner, the Board of Trustees and of course the donors .... everyone who had a hand in getting this up and running deserves our thanks.

There were a lot of TV cameras there. Were they all there from Channel 4?
I think I saw Donnie Nelson there, too.

Turnout was great - I couldn't get in any farther than the doorway, and there were people lined up behind me trying to see.
