BTW our win last night dropped us to #24 in RPI. Or more accurately, playing Prarie View dopped us to #24. The Centenary game will have the same effect, so we need to be careful to stay sharp and make sure we don't overlook them.

I think Epps looked great and Bamba continues to impress me.

Our guard play is atrocious and I expect every team from here on out will press us full time until we can prove we can handle it. We also need to improve our entry passes to the post and I would love to see Ike get more attention in the offensive sets.

I like Ike!

This team has holes, just as we expected, and might only improve a few games from last season- but I do think we will look back on this season as an improvement over last. No, our gaurd play is not fantastic and teams will try to exploit that. But you don't beat a press by dribbling anyhow. You beat presses and traps passing, not dribbling. Doherty will find a way to make things work.

*edit*

And forgot to mention. Excellent game by The Rack! 21 points on 10-12 from the field plus add in 7 rebounds.

I don't know what scares me more, our guards dribbling or passing.

going to run - we had several chances for 3 on 1 or 4 on 2 and we didn't press because Doh had told them to run plays and get the ball inside.

Pulling Roberts made a good point for the team but if he had it to do over he would probably have just pulled him and not sent him to the lockers.

Our timing is off by a few ticks but I think we are making progress in
running the offense and Doh is making them run plays and not just running up scores.

Epps is getting better and will help us down the stretch.

Falcon, what scares me is I don't think we can run. I have seen every home game this season and I have not seen us execute one fast break that has led to a successful layup.

3) Although I thought Doughrety probably got a little too peeved at Roberts, I liked what he did in the second half. He knew there was no way we would lose to that team, so he put us through "real game" situations. He forced the team to run sets, run an offense through the post. He never once called an isolation play to abuse our superior height or athleticism. He made them run plays, eat up clock.

That's encouraging. RPI is now #24. A road win at Centenary will firm up the ranking leading into tough games at OU and TCU.
