Not the prettiest game in the world, but it worked. Personally, I thought that Jillian Robbins was badly overrated. She was like the tall kid playing against younger siblings -- yeah, she scored some points, but she took every shot (almost) for them, too. If I'm on her team and she gets the ball, I know it's either time to crash the boards or get back on defense, because she didn't pass the ball once all night. If anyone on the floor last night should have been the CUSA Preseason Player of the Year -- or better yet, the real Player of the Year -- it was Janielle Dodds. She absolutely took over the game. When she got on a roll, she scored at will and owned the boards. How many hack players did Tulsa go through trying to contain her? I'm surprised they didn't double-team her more, because she was kicking their butts all night long.
