Congratulations to Coach Rompola - got No. 299 tonight to tie Doc Hayes for the most wins in SMU history by an SMU basketball coach.
Come out Sunday at 2 PM to watch the Ponies make a run at her 300th on national TV!

We won, 90-62. That's heck of a lot better. Ball movement was good. We were right behind the SMU bench. I actually had both of them with me. Nice time to sit Dodds for about the final 9 minutes of the game. LaShondra Hill is so fast. That's a guard who can dribble penetrate. And her dishes in the low post are good. When she gets a little stronger and experience, look out. UCF is horrible. I don't know how many unforced turnoves they had, but they are fundamentally ridiculous. I'm serious on this. My 8-year-old asks me in the second half, "Daddy, how many redshirts do we have on this team?" ![]() I had to ask PonyPride. We have none, by the way. Congrats to Rhonda for tying Doc Hayes with 299 wins. The girls got to meet to her after the game. They also got to shoot at the free throw line after the game. They had a great experience. Now, they want to come back for So. Miss on Sunday. I've created little Mustang Maniacs.
Nice win - a fun game to watch. I just saw where Southern Miss (10-4) lost to Tulsa tonight. Oh the joys of conference play and conference play on the road at that. Southern Miss will be ready for us come Sunday!
Congrats Rhonda. Hope you get your 300th win on national TV.
Congrats, indeed! If we play like that all year, we'll roll through C-USA.
Dodds, Cobb, Wills, Samuels all got to rest a lot, and we still won by almost 30? NICE JOB! Rise up, Mustang Nation!
Go SMU!
