I think Severin will be getting a good deal of time next year (well, she is now too), if not starting a couple games. I think she's a really solid player, especially on the defensive end

PG: Dubois or Williams
SG: Harp
SF: Faye
PF: Dia
C: Fall

I've seen Faye playing in Dedman and he looks like an incredible athlete, not to mention he shot very well. If Harp finally decides to grow a pair, I think he could be our leading scorer. An for Dubois, I just think he'll be amazing.

Brittany Gilliam is who you mean. Brittany Barker is a senior post player, who had to stop playing because of a medical condition.

As I understand it, Faye had a grade problem when he arrived here from GT. It's amazing he got accepted according to things I've seen on this site. So, XTC is probably saying, let's wait and see if Doherty's long three gets through the hoop before we count it.

If Faye and Williams both hit the court, then we have for sure made some long needed changes.

He could be effective too since SMU now has a big frontline otherwise. Dubois will now have a chance to develop behind Williams without being thrown to the wolves. Shooting will be SMU's weakness. But I think physically SMU will have easily the most athletic team it has had in 5 years or so. I wouldn't be surprised to see substantial improvement next year-and if Bamba and/or Faye blossom like you'd think they could as 4-5 year men, it could be an exciting team.

Can someone put a sticky on this? If we see Stallion at a bball game that is amazing :)

PG- Williams
SG- Harp
F- Malone
F- Dia
C- Bamba

I am staying with the same starting line-up. Will have to see who ends up returning and who doesn't to determine how our bench situation plays out. It appears to me that we will be deeper than we have been in many years though.

PG: McCoy (Scout 4 star recruit)
SG: Williams (20 ppg JUCO)
SF: Faye (ACC GT Transfer)
PF: Big Papa (emerging star forward who needs some consistency)
C: Bamba (getting some better offense and great D)

Looks like a pretty solid lineup to me...throw in all the 3-star recruits off the bench from last year I like our chances against other raising conference stars (UTEP, UAB, etc...) Conference USA is going to start having 2-3 tournament teams a year if you ask me....

Faye can get straight A's all summer and he still won't start opening day. Because he transferred in January, he is regardless in the fall semester, regardless of his grades.

With that said:

PG: Derek Williams
SG: Ryan Harp
SF: Alex Malone
PF: Papa Dia
C: Bamba Fall

Nyakundi is an amazing shooter, and I'm hoping he lights up the gym, but all I've ever seen him do is fire away in pregame warm-ups - maybe he's the greatest HORSE player on the planet, and maybe he's the second coming of Ray Allen. So far, though, we don't know. Ryan Harp and Alex Malone and Pap Dia will have much better sophomore years, I believe, now that they understand what Coach Doherty wants/needs from his players. No idea what to expect from Williams, because nobody here has seen him play, but I'd assume the JUCO gets to start over the freshmen. Bamba Fall: Conference USA Defensive Player of the Year.

I believe Derek Williams and Paul McCoy will start at the guard positions.

The problem with this starting lineup - who's going to score?
Williams has been described as a scoring PG...I wouldn't be surprised if Doherty slides him over to the 2 and starts McCoy at the point.
