When it changed ownership and became Tilley's it actually got a little better, they pretty much kept the same menu but updated the interior and offered better specials. Seemed just like Joe Willey's only better.

I am really sad that it closed, I have been going there with family and friends ever since I was a student back in the late 80's..

Ultimately, I bet the crappy location did it in.....was not real visible from Greenville being down that hill and the parking lot was always full from the mexican grocery in the same complex.

Moody hasn't seen large crowds since the SWC days, which might also explain football attendance. I miss those teams coming to Dallas. It just hasn't been the same.

Maybe it will get better. Winning would be a good start.

We did have a sellout for the first TT game with Knight and a near sellout 2 years later with Tech.

I think the best crowds and atmposphere since the SWC was our games with Tulsa during the Sasser/Davis years...we were challenging Tulsa for the conference title and 2 years in a row Moody was virtually full (one I blelieve was sold out)....I still have nightmares of Davis dribbling that last second steal off his foot that woulda clinched the victory, only to see Tulsa hit a miracle 3 at the buzzer and then beat us in overtime.

That is SMU for ya!
