you are right, if you dont have chemistry how do you have a good team?
however, if these kids dont have confidence in themselves then they will never be good no matter how talented they are.
Doh can only do so much to motivate them, if they dont perform than they lose confidence that way...that's nothin Doh can do anything about except keep patting them on the back and preparing them....to often coaches get blamed for lack fo execution where they have done everything to provide opportunities.
our guys gotta walk through the door on their own, thats how its always been.

No doubt about it. . .our men's B-ball teams stinks right now. I mean, they stink real bad. Hopefully they get better. Obviously, both the team and the coaching staff have A LOT of improving to do before the end of the year.
Hard to see it now, but I remain optimistic about the future. I don't think we have yet seen the full recruiting impact of a finished Crum Center and relaxed admission standards/athletic-friendly majors. If Doh continues to bring in more talented players, eventually some of them will be juniors and seniors and we can see some actual leadership on this team. I know is hard to constantly hope for better times ahead without any results today, but our B-ball program was so down and out when Doh got here that I can't say I'm surprised that its taking a long time to fix.

Nice job changing the headline on this thread. Apparently the "I'm done with the Doherty era" wasn't stirring up enough responses, huh? This is FAR more dramatic - give yourself a gold star.

I do think that you can recruit your way out of trouble. And Doh has that ability. However, right now, he needs to have a few punishment workouts for this game. Two on two full court. Yo, yo's, followed by free throw practice. Then do it again. I mean run them so hard they are yakking.

how can you not recruit your way out of trouble...if you land talent then you automatically have more to work with.

Seems to me that Doh should have had them in the bleachers running them along with sprints after the TCU game.
A little late imo. Anyway, we should have one of the best conditioned teams in the country if Doh doesn't run them all off.
Seriously, I do not want to make excuses but I have to point out that the scheduling for the last 3 weeks was an absolute joke.
Last nights atmosphere was more like a scrimmage on a neutral court.
Speaking of neutral courts, thats what Moody has really become. No home court advantage anymore.

Let's assume for the sake of argument that every angry PonyFan on here comes to every game (ha).
Want a home-court advantage? Be loud. Bring friends and make them get loud, or take away their ride home, or the postgame beer, or something.
At times last night, I thought I was yelling in church or a library. Everyone who comes on here upset needs to be there and help create the home-court advantage we all want to see return to Moody.

Maybe if the product deserved it, then we would get loud! It's inexcusable that this game was ever close to have the team eventually lose.
The enablers need to stop making excuses for this program. The results speak for themselves.

Thank you Santa for the early Xmas present - I had to work late so I couldn't make it to the game. Thank God I did not have to suffer through that!

I'll stand by everything I wrote from the TCU thread that was pulled. Nothing has changed since then, has it? There's no courage on this team. No will to win to win. No chemistry. Inside game flat out sucks. They got outrebounded. Again, they can't identify shooters. You deserve what you get with something like this. I hope Doherty enjoyed how well his team executed down the stretch. I'm done paying attention to this season. [deleted] it. So glad I contributed to the construction of Crum. C'mon Bleeding RedNBlue. I'm waiting for you to tear apart this entry sentence by sentence. As I said in the TCU thread 8-10 wins. I'll go to Moody this year -- to watch the women and apparently, the only DAMN legitimate coach we have on this campus.
You're amazing.

Did you enjoy UAPB 64, SMU 62? I guess you did. Should we be losing to this type of team in the third year under this coach?
If this wasn't a guarantee game, it should have been. We guarantee them a check and also guarantee to beat them soundly.
But if you're fine with this, then by all means, have at it.
