Nyakundi is a "catch and shoot" guy, but he's just a FR. If he works on his game and develops some low post moves, he could really become a player for us these next 3 years

respectable showing in the 1st half. Good finish with Faye hitting those FTs. 8 guys scored. I like that

39-33 at half...not a bad effort...Coleman had no points for Houston, but some dude that has only 8 3s for the year has 4 for Houston in the first half.
Came back to even up the rebounds and take away Otis's gauranteed 0-2 from the line and we were 4-4.
Today is the day to finally come out and play a great second half (I hope)

Otis has a lot of FT work to do if he wants to play Division I bball for 4 years. I like a lot of aspects of his game, but can't afford to have a guy on the floor who can't even hit 50% from 15 ft with nobody guarding him

With UTEP pulling away...
If we win tonight, we play at noon on Wednesday...if we lose, we play at 8:30pm and that will be pretty much gauranteed to be Houston again.

assuming we lost this game, we get UTEP in the 1srt round? That's probably our best draw...we were very competitive with UTEP both games during the regular season so they might be our best upset chance.

UTEP is going to win, and they hold the tie breaker over Houston, that would make Houston the 5th seed. If we lose this again, we play Houston on Wednesday.

I just checked and UTEP looks to be winning easily against USM. If this means we get Houston, it's looking like a "one and done" in the CUSA Tourney on the way to a 9-21 finish.
Can't afford to back up any more. Doherty's 3 years have gotten progressively worse (record wise) against pretty weak competition. Next season has to be .500 (or very close) or I don't see much hope of Doherty being the guy to turn this program around.
