Thoughts from Houston Game

I agree with you there. We had so many that were there for the taking and we didn't get it done. But I will still make the distinction that we were there and not blown out, like many thought. Those games, @UAB, @Marshall, @UTEP, Houston at home...we were double digit underdogs, in some cases, approaching 20 points.

I won't go so far as to predict a SMU win, but I expect it to be much closer than that.

Can't wait for the tip off.

"we were there and weren't blown out" is for losers. I really don't care if we were close, or the other team didn't cover the spread, or that we were winning early in the game - just tired of the excuses......

Totally agree, he lost his cushion with these last two seasons. He has to get it done next year, I would say obviously a winning record overall, and .500 or better in conference.

Short of that next year, he has to go.

the "we're still young and learning" excuse is gone next year. The key guys will be in their 2nd and 3rd years together and/or in Doherty's program. I think we all agree significant improvement needs to be shown next year
