Now let's get a winning record and at least we can CIT, CBI, or NIT if we can't dance.

I noticed the UTEP Nevada game was on HDNET late last nite-I think it was the CBI Tournament. HDNET is owned by Mark Cuban. I wonder with Cuban's sports background if he might be interested in getting into sports programing-for network identification if nothing else. Right now HDNET doesn't really seem to have a definite identity

Would we really want to hang a banner that says "CBI - First Round"?

We could hang it with pride and every time we look at it, think about how we almost beat Liberty to advance to the second round, if we coulda got a couple of breaks down the stretch.

So, if OSU wins the tournament, they would hit .500. Does anybody really want to watch this?

games from both the CBI and CI.com can only be seen on HDNET. These tournaments exist as a marketing tool from what I can tell, but they also afford opportunity for a lot of 20 win teams to continue their seasons. I know that here in Charleston, they will make some sales because both the Citadel and College of Charleston are playing in these tournaments

Well, they beat UH in their first round game so they are one step closer to .500!

Actually, I watched it last night. UH was completely out of its element because of OSU's pace.
BTW, great game between Baylor and Georgetown. Bears first postseason win since 1950? Whoa!

Houston and UTEP are in the CBI, no CUSA teams in the CIT and UAB and Tulsa are in the NIT.
THink a lot of respectable teams refused invites to the CBI and CIT, notable exceptions being St. Johns, Stanford, and Oregon State.
To me, these should be for the smaller schools that never got a chance, and for the most part they are, not sure why St. Johns would risk taking an @ss whooping at the hands of a smaller school.
why waste the money and time playing in these small time tourneys. sure your seniors and other players get to keep playing, and you maybe even host a game or two at your school but its just a waste of money

If anyone cares, UTEP has advanced to the final of the CBI tourney. They will play everyone's favorite sub-.500 team Oregon St.

Charleston Pony, Did you catch any Citadel games. Just wondering about their coach (Conroy). He seems to have done a heck of a job. I lived in Charleston during the NCAA tournament years of CofC and saw alot of the games. I always thought the Citadel would be nearly impossible to build a strong program.
