Actually, I got it first from a coach at another school. I honestly did not know it was supposed to be a secret, although I can guess at the reason. I dont really talk that much with our staff, so I honestly had no idea they were trying to keep it hush hush. Someone asked a question, and I had the answer, so I shared it. My apology for jumping the gun, and I had no desire to interfere with the process, but it does appears to be public information, now. At the tournament most people seemed to know, already.

you're all good, I jumped the gun. My bad. Papawasamustang will tell you it was common knowledge at the tourney. Apparently he was labeled a verbal in the program. People commonly equate stashing a kid in JUCO, with him automatically coming. In my experience, it only works out part of the time, so until the staff goes public, they're probably still evaluating. In this case, the kid is supposedly a good find, so they tagged him before he stood out in a big juco showcase w/coaches from everywhere watching.

It's no problem, and he is a good find. Very reliable shot from long range. Strikes me as more of a 2 than a point, but could play both.

that youtube of Patsevich is filthy. He shows just about everything in those clips. Needs an infusion of american quicks, but he's fundamental. Nice work finding this kid

well its certainly interesting. 7 minute tape-each play in 5-7 second clips-estimate about 100-120 plays shown. No BS in this highlite reel like you see in some which basically show 6 plays with half of them replays.. I'd say he was about 50-50 from the field with 50 assists, no turnovers, about 10 dunks, perfect from the 3 point line and he shut out his opponent on defense. He had good form, body control, beat his man off the dribble, perfect jumpshot, great range, perfect defense, and can dunk with ease. He did commit a foul! Needs to work on that. But seriously I don't know the level of competition so its tough to say. But there really isn't any thing not to like so its interesting.

liked what I saw, especially the drives down the lane and dunks with authority. Can't tell what kind of competition that was but he seems to have an edge about him and nice all around game. Some more strength and quickness and he could be quite a mid major player i think. When is he coming, next year?

I saw him play very well against former UofH player Brockeith Pane (Midland JC, verbal to Utah State) & another Midland JC player, Guy Landry, also a major talent.

He has a beautiful jumper. He is a fantastic passer, terrific court awareness. Handles the ball well. At 6'4, he can play either the 1 or 2. He only took the ball to the hole a couple of times, but when he did, he took it strong & was fouled. Physically, I think he is larger than what he appears on the video, but there is room to bulk up.

If you live locally, go see him play @ Collin County JC in Plano. They have one of the premier JC programs in the country & I'm very excited to see us working with CCCC. Hopefully this will be the first of many outstanding CCCC players to come to SMU.

Don't forget about Josh Ihde as he came from Quad C as they call it ,for the first one back in the 90's, not an outstanding player, but was the first.

Watching the Youtube film he is very impressive and can run the court well with obvious court awareness with his quick no look passes but was impressed with the fundementals of his game more importantly which you see alot from the European players as they can have a more complete game than than what we are used to seeing and even more of a complete game than what we recruit locally. The fundamentals aren't taught as much to our kids anymore as the AAU teams are more just showcase teams and its just run it up and throw it down. This kid will be fun to watch and hopefully we can get him committed and signed.

According to Scout, he is a 2011 commit. A long way off. Talk about maturity, he will be 23 in 2011.

I watched that video as well and was impressed how smooth his shot was. I'm sure he's going to have to bulk up but it's nice to have a guy who can spot up, create off the dribble and get others involved. Looks like an interesting player.

Doh or Pappa -- that video was based on him playing in Europe and eastern europe with the international courts. What have you heard from others about how his european game has transitioned to the states?

Thanks in advance.
