sure hope UTEP gets a bid. I'd like to think we are a 2 bid league. I would guess that UAB played their way out with their quarterfinal loss and will take the automatic NIT bid. CUSA should have a chance to see 8 teams in the post season.

No way CUSA should be categorized like low majors in terms of bids. That's so flawed. Just like I hate to see College of Charleston iced for being very good all year, only to lose to Wofford in the conference tourney. First year I've ever thought a 'weak bubble' should mean 96 teams or whatever. So much parity these days, that the at-larges all seem about the same till mid 80s.

C of C had a nice club this year, but when Simmons went down they became totally dependent on their senior backcourt. Goudelock can light it up, but forced things in the tourney trying to do too much. I do think the SoCon is a pretty decent league, but at least C of C is getting a home NIT game out of this. I just hope it is not in conflict with SMU's game because I like to support the local team

We should go to a game, I go to several CoC games each year. Some family of mine was pretty active in the Baru recruitment as well.

Tarheels are still wondering how Baru got away; I gather he and his host family have gotten pretty tight? At least the "package deal" is part of the local story. If Stitt and Dixon become anywhere near the backcourt that Monroe and Goudelock have been, Cremins is going to have this team back on the map.
