Ontheedgeofmyseat,

I think what you've done is bury yourself in the part of the contrarnian/drive-by poster that you've painted yourself into a corner. Fair or unfair, your reputation on this board is such that if you ever write something positive about anything related to SMU, no one is going to believe or will just think you're being a total smarta$$.

But I'm glad you tracked the game. Moody was a great atmosphere last night. There was energy in the building.

I know you're proud to be a Mustang and you care deeply about the programs and want them to win. Maybe you just have a difficult time of expressing it...

Go Mustangs!

no, because you're like the bully who just got caught thumping the ear of another kid, and you put on your innocent face and say "what? i didnt do anything?"
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

I did track the game, second half on..and btw, your heart felt post on another thread about how this season unfolded, might have been your best post ever, and I mean that. You don't know me..but, I bleed red and blue. Longtime passionate fan....I guess I don't really take PF.com as serious as the 43 who treat this as their little private club. In fact, over the years, I have been BAR B Q'd, blasted, name called for postive things I have said or assserted.....so, what's the point?!? I illustarte absurdity by being absurd. You can't win around, so why try. So YES, I will have some fun, poke the stick and scream FIRE in the movie house...cheap fun. I have proably seen more fball games, bballgames, tennis matches, swim meets and written more Mustang Club checks then I care to remember. Having fun with the johnny come lately's, Ramon Flanagan is the best thing since pockets on pants crowd, is what 99% of these forums are about...but, this one has turned into the "I am the smartest guy in the room" crowd and no matter what anybody says (pro or con) we goin' to take expection forum. I think Stallion knows what he is talking about..yet, those who disagree, or those who's precious little PF ego he bruises, go nuts..THAT is why I do what I do, for example. Go PONIES....GREAT little mini run here at the end, boys...see ya in the fall!

I'd be ok w/your take. if anything you said was funny or amusing. It's condescending & comes from a salty place. Stallion doesn't know anything about basketball, yet drives-by to suit his agenda. He gets skewered for it, cause he's never once talked about a game, a play, Xs & Os, system, or anything poignant to the process. He also doesn't understand the process, just whatever stats he can pull to suit his agenda.

This year didn't have anything to do w/any of that. This was a hard-working little team that overachieved, and deserved credit for their heart/intensity and ability to shrug off haters. Stallion never saw that, cause he never watched. This particular forum isn't about being better than anyone, but if you are going to pile on, w/no real knowledge, you deserve to get back what you give.

For the record, youngr fans certainly respect older generations, but spare me the 'Ramon Flanigan' crowd. Whatever fans we have from that generation, who went to SMU, deserve tremendous credit. They've never seen even one peak, in all of their years cheering. At least the old timers have legit SWC type memories. Oh yeah, those memories currently hold back the current programs too, but thats another story

Also, I knew everything I needed to know about you the second you used 'bro' in a sentence.

Pony!Poner!Poniet! I DO NOT have disdain for the Ponies, far from it...my disdain is for the "smartest guy in the room", private club, we make the little PF.com rules (very consistent..HA!), hey blue hair!, quit looking back-history doesn't matter, name calling, "so, this is what the Final Four feels like", you are not a fan if / because ________, unrealistic perspective, don't debate / disagree with me-stupid!, I know it all crowd. Pony UP!
