Steve helped in building Ucf's New stadium and basketball arena. touted as the only university to build both at the sane time. SMU blue chipers shadow UCF bread.

To further the speculation, if this is legitimately $80 million, I wonder what portion would also be designated toward renovating the locker rooms and meeting rooms in Ford.

Remember that was a point of discussion around the bowl game. The thing I had heard was the athletic department wanted to get the new turf down before they addressed those items.

For all I know, those could be a separate project.

Or this could be a huge undertaking done in stages to where Moody is the first stage, etc.

Fun to talk about....

The engineering firm selected for the Moody renovation states that the 80 mil is for a "Moody Coliseum renovation.". Thus, 80 mil is only for the Moody renovation project. Ford would be a separate bill.

I do agree that it seems like the school will get that done soon as well.

Someone on here with the gift of gab should just call that firm up and convince someone to give some details!

When a privately owned contractor desided to build a senior resort on the pond in our backyard. I was able to go to city hall and get exsact plans and specifications on every detail for a few bucks. FOIA

Serge was greatness. And I still peruse that Roger Scruton textbook from time to time.

I'm an '89 grad too, by the way. Philosophy and English.

That goes back to my first post on this thread that this is way beyond a Moody makeover.

The Crum Center cost $13M? I would guess that a radical Moody makeover is $10M. I just believe there are other projects involved and that it's only titled Moody on that engineer web site because it is.

Call me ridiculous, but I have to think SMU athletics is on the cusp of a MAJOR overhaul in terms of its athletic facilities.

It may blow all of us away...

Mitch- I certainly hope you are right. JJ was promised an IPF and if we blow 20-80 mil on a Moody renovation without including an IPF I expect that you can color JJ gone after this season. He left Hawaii for many of the same reasons.

GO PONIES!!!

My guess would be that the $20M is for Moody and the other $60M for other projects. It's a package deal and we already have the Moody money done.
