Guys, I told the fine folks in Denton the deal on this, many many days before he committed. SMU doesn't love 6'3 forwards that can't shoot, on top of being out of ships. I like Franklin enough, but to say UNT beat SMU for the kid is pretty laughable if you know the deal. He didn't have an offer, and when asked for one, staff said no. Heard a rumor or two that Williams & crew weren't happy w/decision, but staff simply said 'not good enough.'

Hope he does well.

Do you think any of North Texas players could qualify for admission at SMU or if they did stay in school. Didn't JJ come from that "clean" program at LSU?
