had to lol at this post-or at least part of it-on the K-State board.

Scoops, to be honest, there are many garbage posters on here with high post counts. It in no way reflects on your ability to provide us with quality info.

Good riddance to Nick Russell and his soon to be SMU Mustang self.

RGV - Don't quite understand what you are saying. Can you explain yourself a little bit better? Not trying to cause problems but Kansas people know their basketball. My original source was very good. He attended many practices and had an in with the coaching staff.

nothing to explain..was copying & pasting from the K-State board. I found the remarks humorous (hence the LOL)

Insomnia as well. Bad Combination. Here is an amazing stat. Ira Terrell who sits courtside at all SMU Basketball Games and played in the NBA for several seasons averaged 24 points and 13.5 rebounds during his three seasons at SMU. I.T. was 6'8" 205 pounds and is the only player in the history of SMU to average a double/double for three straight seasons.

I see him ( how can you miss him; he looks 6'10" to me) but have never had the pleasure to meet him in person. Was he the first African American to play basketball at SMU? My guess is that he has touched many lives with both white and black basketball players while being a wonderful ambassador for SMU.

We need another Ira Terrell ( oh really) in recruiting. Can you imagine a "big" coming in and putting up those numbers for us in their first season? I wonder if our current players realize that. They could take a lesson from him on HARD WORK! They probably do work hard but guys like I.T. had to bring it every night while defenses probably surrounded him.

Actually whats an amazing stat is that Ira hasn't had his jersey retired. We've got a whopping two up in the rafters, so it's not like we're about to run out of numbers.

Needed to be done a long time ago. Let's get the momentum going now to get it done next season. Who do we contact David Miller, Dr Turner, or Steve O? What is the process?

not sure, but I think Ruben Triplett may have been our 1st black player; he and Sammy Hervey played together in the early 70's but Ruben was recruited for bball and Sammy was a 2 sport guy

Paul McCoy was much more talented than them and well ----- we couldn't win with him and he was a cancer on the team. Give me a four year player like John Killen anyday and I will take Harp, Clins, Walker, etc anyday on my team. Who gave this young man advice coming out and going to K-State.

You have to take a lot of what KState fans are saying with a grain of salt. Most of the time, the player leaving the team gets bashed by the die hards. I'll just say this about McCoy. I was at almost every game his freshman year & he was a real joy to watch. He wasn't a fit here, just like Russell wasn't with KState.
I have to laugh about your comments about Killen. Great guy, enjoyed watching him play his Sr. year. Let's not talk about his earlier years @ SMU.
I will say that finding the right blend of talent is always a difficult challenge for the coaches. The norm is to jump @ the best talent you can find. Sometimes it just doesn't work out with the chemistry.
I'm just saying that Russell is more talented than everyone you mentioned with the exception of McCoy. I'll call that a draw. Is he a cancer? Who knows.
Personally, I like the French dude if he has 4 years left over 2 years of Russell. But if Russell falls into the Ponies lap for 3 additional years. (1 sitting out, & 2 on the court), that's not a bad thing either. Frenchie or Russell, a good situation either way IMO.
