Re: ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block?I can see him being on the hot seat because we haven't performed like we need to perform when we join the BE. He is being out recruited by Drew for heavens sake. Why are guys choosing Waco over Dallas? Why Baylor over SMU? Is that a legitimate enough beef? But where Doh really has hit the wall in my opinion is game management and player development. Players seem to not improve markedly under his teaching with the exception of Papa Dia.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block?
We would have a hard time winning the Texas 5A title with the horrible offense we are rolling out. Doh Must Go!!! Do unto others before they do unto you!!
Re: ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block?
Did you even watch last year?
Re: ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block?I think the players won last year in spite of the coaching.

Re: ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block?
I think you didn't watch the games then. That staff was seldom out-coached last year. They ran a very complicated system, almost perfectly at times. Statistically they were fantastic on the year, in every area you need a princeton team to be good. It's fashionable to to pile on DOh, and I'm all about it, but let's not act like our staff is chock full of baffoons. Mangino is a GREAT X & Os guy, and Hobbie is a world-class skill & development coach. Pooh sat on Turgeon's bench for 8 years or so, and Turgeon is a masterful X & Os guy. The reason the team has 'seems' worse coached this year is the youth/inexperience, and the depth on the roster. Doh is too deep w/the same types of players, for his own good. He yanks them around as opposed to last year where he had to play through bad plays/stretches.

Re: ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block?
It was also the only year running the princeton w/this staff. They ran a make shift version the year prior after the Hawaii tourney. Again, I'm not arguing for the man, but look at the programs numbers since switching to this system. There is no denying we've become far more competitive on the whole. Also, we've relieved him of most of his coaching responsibilities, which is why we were better coached.
Re: ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block? Then let's relieve him of all duties and move on. The BE will not be nearly as forgiving as CUSA and the patsies that we play OOC.
GO PONIES!!!
Re: ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block?
The patsies will be the same, if not worse, who are you kidding. They are gonna have to compensate for league play somehow. FWIW, no problem changing direction, just don't tell me we're gonna run in the Big East
Re: ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block? At least KAAm is working
Re: ESPN: Doh on Chopping Block?HManx- yes, we are gonna run in the BE. That is run away and hide while they kick our butts.
The sooner a change is made the better for our future. GO PONIES!!!
