I have been but just could not stop myself on this one. Watched Ira play as a kid and he was one of my favorite players to wear the Red and Blue. But you are correct.

Ira might have been a great player back in 1972 when there were few African American playing. From top to bottom in today's world, how good would he have been? Would Bill Russell and the Celtics won 11 out of 13 titles in the 1980's against the showtime Lakers, MJ Bulls, and even the Kevin M, Robert P, and Larry B front line. Not taking anything away from Ira. Just stating the game has changed.
What difference does it make what color his skin is? You of all people should know you can not compare 99% of the players from one generation to another. As you stated correctly the game has changed and keeps changing.
You are the one who brought up skin color. African Americans if you haven't noticed make up the majority of players on teams on the college and pro level. There were not that many African Americans when Ira played and so the competition was not as good. You can say that about college teams and pro teams back in the 1970's compared to now. They can jump higher, run faster, and have incredible resources that they did not have back then. I work with many players of all races regarding body fat, endurance drills, plyo-metrics, psychology testing, and academics. My mission in life is to give back and help people.
You are incorrect, I did not bring up his skin color all I said was he was one of my favorite players to watch as a kid. I applaud you for working with kids to improve all aspects of there life.
GO MUSTANGS!

If you've been watching closely, you understand by now there is NO TEAM we can say this SMU team "should definitely beat"

let's just hope we can draw about 3,500 who will make some noise and our guys respond with one of their better efforts

a decent crowd of 3508 supporting the Mustangs and it makes such a difference.

we need to get bak to the point where 3500 show up when we play Prairie View and we draw closer to 7,000 for games with TCU

Nice win team! I'm sure the team feels good to have the handcuffs removed and finally having the coach let them play the game. In the post game show, even Alan Stone commented how Doh let the team play and open it up. The team was finally able to show their talents and skills. For one of the few times this year, they had fun out there. The team even had an advantage in the rebounding column which Doh said should never happen running the Princeton Offense.
