The only way Doh is fired is if David Miller has had enough. Period. Orsini doesn't have the authority to hire/fire in the basketball program.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Orsini is simply a pawn in this entire chess game. He only has the title with no authority. Mr. Miller and a couple of other major financial supporters make the decisions. He doesn't call the shots and made some significant poor judgments along the way. Hey, we all make poor business decisions in our careers, but we can fix them. He is not at liberty to repair his missteps.

i'm not debating any of this, nor do i really care who has to give the green light, there is just no way he can be retained period.

If Doh is our head coach next year, it shows that SMU is run by a bunch of pu$$ies. Sorry for the language.

3 for 37 from 3 point line. Perhaps a mandatory drug test is in order

Also, you will not see me and I'm sure many many other people (including students) at games if we continue to accept losing as the norm. Consider season tix terminated.

Gene Phillips averaged more than 28 ppg before the 3 point shot

They'll raise our season tickets next year with the Big East spin and Moody remodel. This should be deemed illegal.

Yeah, East Coast - stay on the East Coast - find us some players while you are there. Yeah

What's your angle, exactly? Just curious. What are you all about here?

As I said in another thread, if Doh isn't gone next year I will be along with my 4 season tickets. I have been buying basketball tickets for the last 25 years and showing up to most of the games but that will come to an end if major coaching changes aren't made!

why not? Dement was. Plenty of coaches have been. Bill Frieder was fired in-season in 1989 and Michigan went on to win the National Championship. Think about that. Tonight was the absolute worst showing in the entire HISTORY of SMU basketball. If SMU doesn't have enough money to fire a failed coach with just one year left on his contract, we need to go D-2.

i am not opposed to letting doherty go during the season. and IF the reason we don'r fire him is because of 1 year left on a $500k annual contract, then we have much bigger issues about competing in the big east than just the on court results.
