Yeah, we need a TEAM like last year's. They even stood at attention for the National Anthem with their hands over their hearts.

No, they didn't! :)
That was going on for at least a couple years.

Actually, I looked last night and it looked to me like every guy had his hand over his heart. They were facing away, so I could not tell for sure about a couple of them. Not saying they were at rigid attention, but they were pretty still and hands over hearts for the period of time I was looking. Don't believe it has anything relation to how well someone plays basketball though.[/quote]
Perhaps the criticized anti-correct anthem behavior was Dog required and by following proper etiquette they are rebelling?

I thought you were only supposed to place your hand over your heart for the pledge of allegiance and for the national anthem you just remove your hat and stand at attention unless you are current or former military, then you salute.

You're right. They act appropriately now.

No one said it had anything to do with how they played basketball.
It looked like a protest and needed to stop.

Interesting question, though:

SMU was 1-1 in C-USA before the Anthem flap.
Gone 1-8 since looking at the flag.
Players didn't like being corrected on this?
Just askin'.

Glad you noticed. We won 20 looking at the flag last year. We also paid attention to detail on the court thus beat Memphis, USM, Oral Roberts, Northern Iowa, Jacksonville, and if Papa doesn't go down Santa Clara and we probably win the whole thing - 22 wins.

This year's team needs to look in the mirror.

I recall the players having the appearance of a casual attitude during the national anthem last year as well.

Our team wasn't very good last year. They collapsed at the end of the regular season and made a run in some fourth tier tournament. Please, please just shut the [deleted] up
