How Important is Saturday's Marshall Game to Doh's Longevity

I have absolutely zero confidence that we will beat Marshall. On what grounds can we make a reasonable claim that we can beat them? They're not a great team by any stretch but they are currently accomplishing that we have never accomplished under Doh (a winning season in overall record and conference play). They have some tough games coming up, but I don't view us as the team to bring them to 0.500 record in the conference.

Doh needs some quality wins to even have a chance to save his job at the end of the season (or even make it to the end of the season). Marshall would give the team the opportunity to show that they aren't as bad as the UAB score indicated, and Marshall has a winning record both in CUSA and overall. This is the kind of game where the team needs to put forth a 190% effort.

Agreed. With the exception of S. Miss., RoboDoh has a relatively easy schedule, facing teams just above them in the cellar of the conference. SMU should win four of the last five to finish strong. However, even if they run the table, they will finish under .500. I don't think there is anyway he keeps his job.

So do you think if they fire Doh after the Marshall game that his family will be upset that he is no longer coaching or happy that their dad is no longer bringing shame to the family name?

Well, we lost to Marshall and the first half was abysmal. Now what? Bottom line is that no decisions will be made until after the season as to whether or not he is to be fired or allowed to finish the last year of his contract.

no reason to fire a coach at this point in the campaign. unless you've got a player revolt on your hands or an assistant you might want to consider taking over as HC, I've never really supported cutting a guy loose late in the season. Let's just see how this team can finish
