And I think Larry Brown deserves a little respect, and enthusiasm.

Re: Reports: Larry Brown to SMU a Done DealTrue, but we actually have some players. We need more than anything else a coach. The national buzz doesn't hurt either.
Re: Reports: Larry Brown to SMU a Done DealHad some players but not a coach to develop them

Very underrated line, sir. I applaud you.
Re: Reports: Larry Brown to SMU a Done DealImagine that when SMU Head Coach Larry Brown gets phone calls from NBA, college and media friends, he will be getting great insight and looks at better kids. And, they will be more than happy to speak with a Hall of Famer. Let the Assistants and Recruiters work the streets and these leads. Consider the possibilities.

And re-post: from another interview/source from Larry Brown: This makes sense....insert SMU for Stanford: Q: Why did you think Stanford was a good fit for you? ( To LB) A: When I was a young coach with coach (Dean) Smith … I was offered the Connecticut job when I was 26. I wasn’t ready for it. But I always told him that Northwestern, Vanderbilt or Stanford were schools I would love to coach because you’re going to have a small pool of kids but they’re going to be unbelievable student-athletes.

What??? I should have know someone beat me to it. Not sure what to think about the LB hire. I guess it is all about the assistants now. An atheist is a guy who watches a Notre Dame-SMU football game and
