Hoop man I know you know 100x what I know about hoops and i respect everything you post, but surely you can come to the conclusion that we aren't that good this year. Yes- we kept it close in a lot of these games for a half but we aren't deep enough to last a full game against even a mediocre cusa team.
I don't think that anyone thinks that this year's team is outstanding. But, it was a better season than I expected.
Taking short term pain, LB cut the only PG on the team and ran off guys who probably could have helped in the close games. Because of Giles' injury, Bernardi, who clearly needed to redshirt, came within 30 minutes of being 6th in total minutes.
But, in the long term, the team will be better for it. As starters or bench players, 4 of 5 starters (excluding Williams) should be major contributors next year. All four of them will have 1000+ minutes this year.
Look at last year's minutes: Only NYAKUNDI had 1000 minutes. http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/smu ... _stats.pdf
