Actually, I think UTEP had more. Spring break can be a killer sometimes
Larry Brown needs to wake up, Hall of Fame or not....he is getting outcoached IMHO...he is WAY to set in his ways. Get in this century LB with all due respect.
Except for the Hall of Fame part, you almost make LB sound like the other coach at SMU who came to the Hilltop to "make his legacy".........

This team has been getting scorched all year from 3 land, kind of like Dements 1-3-1 defense.

Thats TOTAL BS...and not even close as SMU's attendence was 3 to 1 as we had the whole side to their 1/3 of one side..
Better get your glasses checked, Bro. Keep in mind I was there too and it was pretty apparent that UTEP had more people there.

Lol... It was 3-1 smu fans, maybe more. In terms of noise, probably 1-2. But smu had nothing to cheer about for most of the game.
As for the defense, they were a quicker team, but its the same story... When guys play 90% of the game, they wear down. Next year with Moore and head getting pt that perimeter d will look a lot better.

Nothing to cheer about so no noise from Stangs. UTEP was there and good for them but you are delusional...end of story.

SMU definitely had more fans than UTEP but due to the [deleted] whipping the team was getting, we had very little to cheer about whereas with all of the 3pt shots made and the slam dunks, the UTEP fans were constantly cheering for exciting plays. It was perhaps the most disappointing game for SMU fans all year due to the lackluster effort by the team.

Who cares about fan numbers, we got our butts kicked. GB freeway is too far from the bubble for our fans.

OK, so we were about 50-50, give or take a little.
What's weird is I have been to games at other schools where the fans cheer loudly when their team falls behind. It's like they're trying to help energize their team. Yesterday, when we were down 8 or 10 points in the first half, I stood up, started yelling and clapping and then started waving my arms at the fans around me to stand up and join me ... and got told to be quiet and sit down.
That, to me, was as embarrassing as the final score.

Not close to 50-50 or UTEP having a larger crowd. Why are y'all misrepresenting the crowd size. Be negative all you want but be truthful.

Weird year for Brown as the team performed to expectations, but was often and I mean regularly out-coached. Interesting to see Browns protege Turgeon get killed for the same stuff, no zones, inability vs press, no PG etc. Terp fans want the guys head, meanwhile SMUypes re mostly happy w/what we've seen from Brown.
You guys realize Leslee Smith was offered by a Big 10 school this weekend, right?

Yes, being told to be quiet and sit down should never happen at an SMU game. Totally wrong and shows lack of fan support. The fans need to be invested just as much as the players. The two go hand in hand. Also, those giving the edge numbers wise to SMU are the dillusional ones. We need to correct SMU fan support at this venue next year. Don't wait for the school to fix the problem. The fans are responsible so we need to act that way.

I saw Larry Brown ask someone 2-3 rows in front of him in section 104 at a football game to sit down. Still can't believe that.

I wouldn't sit down for anyone at a football game, especially as a season ticket holder, unless it was a very courteous/apologetic request by an elderly person or someone injured. I've told people to stand up before when asked to sit down.
I'd take a seat for Larry Brown out of respect, but man, I can't believe that he'd make that request.
