This is what I (and many others) mean by embracing our reputation and marketing on it. We are not a normal/average school. We are the weird, 'upper class' 'Methodists.' Kind of like how Dallas has no reason for being except that it's here and prospers and continues to grow.

Great pub for us that was right on point and with some very eloquent cussing thrown in, all-in-all a great story. Go 'Stangs!

If we start getting bigger crowds in Football (which by the sound of it, many students will show up to the game due to beer being served), it is all thanks to our SMU Basketball team and Coach Brown.
Until Football wins 10 games per season, and takes us to a New Year Bowl...I will consider it an assist or "alley oop" from Basketball to Football.

Great article by the way BlackoutPony

I can't wait for FB games at Ford this season with beer being served, definitely will bring in a bigger student showing.

Hopefully we get the majority that is boulevarding into the game. That would be a real decent showing.

Students are there because the team is fun to watch. Not because we have beer.

Exactly. If i wanted to drink beer, i'd go watch the game at milos with $8 pitchers instead of $6 beers. And that is most likely exactly what i'll do next football season when we don't have a product on the field to be proud of

Fortunately we'll only have four terribly attended football games next year if/when JJ's squad sucks. A&M and TCU should be sold out
