Finish in the top 25, start in the top 25, win.

Yes our bottom half is really bad but we obviously have negative effects of that as well, ie the bottom teams in our conference hurt our SoS which hurts our RPI...selection committee will downplay our wins over bad teams. at the same time, the selection committe will adjust for the "bad" losses the top teams in balanced conferences suffer by losing to good teams (like Indiana) that are in the bottom half of their conference. The indianas of the world also help the top teams' rpi's...lots of factors to consider, i wish he would have done a much more thorough and thoughtful analysis

Our Conference SOC is not so bad. It is our NonCon which is not among the top 300 in the nation. Next year we will schedule up a lot more I would think and our overall SOS will be in the top 100.

Another possible explanation about this phenominon is that the top of the other conferences are overrated as teams. Maybe Michigan, Ohio state and Wisconsin are losing to the bottom of their conference because those teams are just not that good. It could very well be that there is no real difference between teams 5-25 this year.

Also so long as you have the rep as a program and are smart out of conference I don't think it will hurt the top teams of the AAC. It only Is a problem if the AAC 4th team goes something like 23-7 and doesn't get a bid to the tournament. I just don't think that will ever happen to a team named Memphis UCONN or Cincinnati.

They just need something to write about. I'd put Cincy, Louisville, and UConn up against anybody (and us at Moody). This is an elite bball conference. Fball, on the other hand . . .

Speaking of Fball, I saw that new conference schedule and wow if we can't win 6, we should just shut it down (what an easy schedule - actually, thinking about it, let's DO just shut it down now because we won't). :-)
