Re: AAC next seasonI like tulsas roster and they have some good young talent. Smu will be Louisville, just need temple and Tulsa to ball
Re: AAC next season
I think we will put 5 in most years. The 5th one coming from Houston, Temple, or Tulsa. When will I start feeling stimulated??
Re: AAC next seasonI haven't followed Tulsa closely this year but did notice that have 10 conference wins (only 15 overall) and they are still in running for CUSA championship-only 1 Game Back from lead so something positive anyway. Its been a pretty strong program for a long time. Just can't keep a Coach

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: AAC next season
I think we will put 5 in most years and if Houston, Tulsa, or USF win the conference tournament then maybe 6 some years. Louisville is a huge loss in all sports. Rutgers is a loss in football and women's basketball, but I think East Carolina more or less replaces them. Tulsa is good for depth in the conference as they are solid but not great. Tulane is still a head-scratcher. Looking at all sports, women's basketball will be hit hardest by all the shuffling. Geno Auriemma must be going nuts! We need Rhonda to step it up almost as much as we need JJ to step it up.
Re: AAC next season
great tradition, quite a few down years but hopefully they will get back soon. Like I said, i am sure Larry helps out Manning and gets calls from him.
Re: AAC next seasonThis probably belongs in another thread, but with all of the moving parts regarding conference realignment, I still see a merger or the creation of a new conference from the MWC and The American. The dead weight in both conferences is going to force their hands. I would love to see a 12 team conference like this:
Western Division SDSU, Fresno State, Boise State, BYU, SMU, Houston Eastern Division Memphis, Cincinnati, UConn, Temple, UCF, USF That is one heck of a basketball conference and a really competitive football conference. I would think the TV $$$ would be pretty good as well considering you'd have games (hypothetically) in each time zone. You also rid yourself of Tulane, Wyoming, ECU, Tulsa, Utah State, etc. Back off Warchild seriously.
