Good points.

I hate the horns and would love an opportunity to embarrass them in the tournament. No other team I'd rather see in the 1st round.

If we are ranked higher than Texas it would be a no win situation for SMU. If we win we are suppose to win and if we lose that just puts Texas in the recruiting drivers seat. Only reason I would ant to play Texas is if they are ranked much higher than SMU.

I actually think Texas is a bad matchup for us. There weakness as a team is perimeter defense and we don't really have the shooters to make me confident in our ability to make them pay. Further I think they could negate our inside game which really is the strength of our team.

I know nothing about them. So their strength is their front court, you'd say? Are they pretty deep there? (just curious)

I've watched a couple of there games, they at strong inside but lack a good back court. They also are not the smartest team from an X's and O's perspective in that they don't rotate in their zone defense very well leaving open perimeter shooters (which is why OU beat them). Against us they would back the middle and I'd worry about our ability to score. Also we would have a problem with them if mk got into foul trouble as Williams, Ben moor, Cunningham, or yanik don't have the mass to handle ibeh.

I don't want to beat Texas any more than I want to beat any other school.
Let's not fixate on one particular opponent - even an old conference rival- those days are long gone and we have moved on.
Win the next game!

I just want to win, but it would be cool to get a shot at one of the "blue blood" basketball programs. (Syracuse, Duke, Kansas, Kentucky, UNC, etc.) I really would not want to play Wichita State early though, if I had a choice.
I honestly am rooting for a particular location far more than a particular opponent... could potentially save me a lot of time/money. I think SMU can play with anyone.

im rooting for a 6 seed if we can pull it off - that puts you in a better bracket in my view. Wouldn't want to have to hit a 2 in game 2.
