of course he won't. This is new territory for us but any top 25 team has a legitimate chance. And we ARE top 25 team who is clicking at the right time. Man I am loving this season. Have been waiting for too long for excitement. Far too many attempts to defend SMU athletics at the water cooler.[/quote]

Totally agree with this. i was just looking at the USA Today bracket they posted and thought it would be one I would love to have. An 8 seed playing 9 seed Colorado and the winner would most likely play Wichita St. Whether we beat Wichita or not ( I think we have a shot ), the publicity would be amazing.

That would be an ideal scenario for us. To get an 8 seed, I think we'd need to end the season on a hell of a run (sweep the next 3 and get to the AAC semis at least?).

I hope we stay out of 7-10 range. It will be the hardest seeds to get to the second weekend.

4-6, 11-13 would be ideal.

Yeah- Cincy was one of the hottest teams in the country and got an absolute beatdown. We obviously won't have the homecourt advantage but LB is up there with Izzo, K, and Boeheim as the best Xs and Os coaches in the nation in my opinion- always gives you a chance

Completely agree.

Look at every second half during conference play. We always come out playing significantly better, due to adjustments made by the coaching staff. It's so refreshing.

Yeah, with the exception of the Temple game it seems like we've come out firing in the second half of our games recently

Great quote.

The only thing that scares me is if we get into foul trouble with Nic in the tournament. Our offense seems to deflate when he goes out...

Yeah, if I'm an opposing team I'm going at Nic early and often to try and get him off the floor and forcing someone else to step up

Curious question about ronthstein... is there any correlation between him and smu? I know he was one of the first national guys to talk up our potential, but it seems like every other day on twitter he is hyping us up. I love following him on twitter now just to see the free pub we get / praise.

I don't know of any correlation with SMU, but I think he's a pretty big fan of Larry Brown. Also, it seems he kind of takes a "shotgun approach" to Twitter, so we may not be the only school that seems to get a few extra mentions. We just notice when it's SMU.

Yep. We're not the same team with Nic sitting. We need his 36 minutes per. We can weather a couple of short stretches but the games where he's gotten two quick fouls have been very hard to watch.
