Memphis fans will be there and it will be rocking. Senior day. Plus there's nothing else to do in Memphis - it's all about their beloved Tigers. Trust me. Born and raised there, but got the hell out as soon as I could and got to Dallas thank goodness.

Sorry, I've just been very closely following SMU sports since 1989. We always suck until proven otherwise. We've had a great year but I don't think we win another one (Memphis at Memphis is extremely tough and then if we draw Houston in the AAC tourney, I don't think we beat them a 3rd time . . . which all leads to a less than great NCAA seed and we lose in the first round . . . just going off my history . . . same thing happened last time we had a very good team - I know, I was there). Next year, I'm hoping will be different though. Maybe we break through to the 2nd, or even 3rd round!

Nothing to do? Memphis Zoo, Overton Park, Greenline, Shelby Farms, Cooper-Young, Overton Square, Grizzlies, Red Birds, more live music than you know what to do with. Sounds like you didn't know the right stuff to do.

Memphis is actually a pretty fun town, as long as you can avoid getting shot. Central BBQ is one of my all time favorites- although perhaps our Memphis friend here knows of a better local spot. Also that Raiford's Bar is quite an experience

I live in the L.A. area now. I haven't been to Memphis since 1997. When I was growing up, there was nothing to do. Sounds still about the same . . . just glad you didn't say Beale St, I don't feel like pulling lead out of my [deleted]. Let me just put it this way . . . Memphis is a great place to be FROM. Other than Graceland and Memphis in May (where it's hot and humid as [deleted] by the way) and an occasional ride on the Memphis Queen on the Mississippi, there's really nothing to do in comparison. (they closed Libertyland for god's sake!). BBQ, on the other hand, no other place better in the world I'll give you that.

Born and raised there. North Memphis. Raleigh area to be exact. Know all about it. Mr. Pig's Pit Barbecue is the best (the tourists would say Corky's or Rendezvous). There's not really a BAD BBQ place anywhere in that town. Only thing I miss. Only thing.

I would suspect thisis as big a game for Memphis as it is for us. Both are trying to improve their seeding. Lived in Memphis a few years. There is plenty to do and they give very good support in BB. Football is also supported even with the recent down years. They will be there and I would be shocked if the crowd isn't into the game.
And mrydel and I will be there as well. Its gonna be tough keeping mrydel out of a fight, though.
