title of this thread is "Bigs" and that doesn't include the 3. Sterling is our 3 and might fill that role for years. Bigs next year are Markus, Yanick (hopefully), Cannen & Ben plus whoever might come in and compete for time as a FR. Could be in trouble if Yanick's injury keeps him from ever regaining his form and there was a rumor that Cannen might move on for more playing time. We are going to need some really talented bigs/recruits if we lose either Yanick or Cannen.

Jabari Parker 6'8" 235lbs
Markus Kennedy 6'9" 245lbs

No one at Duke would claim that Jabari Parker is a 4 or 5. He is a 3. Markus Kennedy has comparable size to Parker. Not saying that MK has Parker's all around talent. Just showing who other big time programs are playing at the 3. Even Andrew Wiggins at Kansas is 6'8" (yes he is 205lbs), but no one would claim that he is a 4 or 5. Wiggins is a 3. Bring in 2 more bigs to SMU 6"9", 6'10"+ and MK either rides the pine or he becomes our 3. MK would allow us to play a big lineup. Causing match up problems.

Personally I think Yanick, Elijah, Djery and definitely Myles could all start at the 4 and 5 ahead of MK. Another reason MK needs to be our 3. We need his offensive game, court vision, and passing ability on the floor.

Kill this thread. It's pointless until we know who is actually on the roster. If you want to start a " Can Markus be a 3 " thread more power to ya. That's a one and done thread. It ain't happening.

This is beyond moronic. I can't tell if you are trolling or serious. Markus Kennedy a 3??? You are comparing Markus and Andrew Wiggins in height and saying they are roughly the same height, so Wiggins is a 3...MK must be also! Wow. Why don't you compare their athletic ability, shooting and ball handling. Great comparison comparing Markus who is a prototypical college PF to one of the most heralded and athletically gifted recrits since Lebron.

And to say MK is a better ball handler than Ben Moore is ridiculous. Moore is a very good ball handler but is still a tweener because he needs to work on his outside shooting to be able to play the 3.

Dude seriously stop. Have you watched a game of basketball in your life? Is Charles Barkley a shooting guard since he's 6'6 and Kobe Bryant starts at SG for the Lakers at 6'6? GTFO...

Y'all underestimate Markus' ability to guard on the perimeter. Plus I have seen multiple and 1s from around the foul line from him. Do we start Markus or Mudiay at the point next year?

i think Yanick should work some at the point. Think of the mismatch that would create!

Parker is playing the 4 at Duke. And sometimes the 5. But since he has good handles and exceptional range ge is allowed to freelance on offense.
