My goodness. This kind of hate towards a man that visited the team, had kind words about the team on the show, and is friends with LB.

This should be good.

I'm told it is scheduled to be this week's SUNDAY NIGHT CONVERSATION on SportsCenter.

That, if course, could change if there is breaking news (like Derek Jeter successfully picking his nose at spring training), but as of now, that's the plan.

While you may not like him he gave us some positive pub and is good friends with Coach Brown. He also reaches a segment of the market that is not ultra conservative stuck up golf cap wearers which is good for SMU imo. No need to rag on him when he is giving us some good words.

That is fine - the more pub, the better...BUT one article does not make up for all of the asinine things that have come out of his mouth. I am an ultra liberal person who is not stuck up and I think he is an ass-hat.

No - he reaches a segment of the population who can't think for themselves and want to listen to stupid debates about whether or not Tebow can be a QB in the league, etc.

Just because you don't like that segment (whoever that might be) doesn't mean they can' t think for themselves as that almost sounds like a horrible stereotypical statement. It is Bayless that brings up Tebow all the time not Smith to my understanding. But regardless of what anybody thinks about the show I believe it is good that he came to the practice and gave a good word on the show.

During Iverson's number retirement speech, he thanked SAS but it sounded like an incredibly sarcastic thank you. Anyone know if SAS was especially critical of AI during his time in Philly?

I'm with those who can't stand hearing SAS on the air and thinks he brings very little actual content (just another screaming head at ESPN), but can't complain about more national publicity!

I rarely watch any of those guys. I find Stephen A. Smith infinitely more entertaining than any of the other ESPN guys mentioned, and being that it is a "good" story and with his intimate knowledge of LB, I would expect his story to be a good watch.

Stephen A. Smith has a radio show that airs on the east coast as well. A lot of inner city kids and their parents listen to him (like possibly Pat McCaw) and watch First Take. He has a lot of respect amongst those kids and some of those kids we are recruiting in that area. I read where our kids really enjoyed the visit. This can only help recruiting amongst inner city kids imo. I think there is a method to what LB is doing with this. Looking forward to seeing this aired on Sunday.
