WTF with Doh?.....no you can't coach shooting in the game but you coach when and where to take the shots, substitution patterns, changing defensive patterns, covering perimeter defense better, as that rotation is what is killing SMU...we can't cover outside shooting so correct the players and/or the defense. Have they been ready to play?....even he is admitting they aren't....they did NOT come out tough at all in the last 3 games. The last three teams plain took SMU to the woodshed.
If you can't hit the outside shots, than adjust and attack the paint and the pass down to the blocks...

They were trying to pass the ball down on the blocks but our bigs had their shots blocked more than one time down low.

They had bad moves..if Marcus would drop step to his left when they overplay him hard right makes for easy bank shots off the glass ..and lead passes to bigs low don't work..make them reach..

NICK RUSSELL: I knew they wasn't going to give up and we was going to start the battle for the second half, 20 minutes. We said that we had to come out and win the first five minutes but they came out stronger than us.

Doesn't everyone realize this year is a gift??? Chill out. Even LB didn't expect success this early. We're young and still learning how to win outside of Moody. So what if we miss NCAA and make more noise in the NIT - is that truly horrible with a team that has exceeded everyone's expectations? That's the worst case scenario..

We are only going to get better, just sit back and let this team mature and take their lumps this year. This is all gravy from here on out.
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

We clearly have a Top 25 talent team, a Top 10 defense but we are not playing to our potential and not responding to coaching lately. Just because fans didn't expect to be here doesn't mean we are playing "with house money". That mentality is a defense-mechanism honed after years of SMU collapses. Yuck. Play your best and to win, always. MK apologized on Twitter for disappointing the fans after UL, a Top 10 team that was playing lights-out basketball. Let's take our cues from the team and expect to win.
