I wonder how much playing in Garland hurt our chances at scheduling better. I doubt any team worth a damn was willing to take what obviously would be minimum payout to play off campus. Not really excuse making-I just would like to know if it hindered scheduling. Now they won't come because of moody Magic. Screwed either way

Larry said in his presser that he tried to schedule Texas schools but had no "luck", ie Big 12.

It is going to be a challenge for SMU. May have to agree to some one-sided gigs. Just have to cut out the bottom third and replace with some schools people know exist.

I totally agree, I am sure we wanted to upgrade our schedule but their were not many takers.

Can you imagine Florida to come play us early in Garland?
Probaly won't happen...BUT...maybe it will!!

Ron Wellman is coming to Dallas for the final four along with the rest of the selection comittee. The best way to welcome them is for SMU to go deep in the NIT. This was a completley disgraceful performnce on the part or the committee. They should resign and move to Cuba.

We should have argued we deserved extra consideration because we had 8 more neutral games and only 9 home games

Yeah, I'm pretty sure this isn't one small tid-bit about basketball that my little brain knows where HOF HCLB isn't 10 steps ahead in thinking. That said, basketball is a club and you must pay your dues. There is no quick fix. Collect wins. Collect big wins. Pack the joint.

I hope we win the NIT and Louisville wins the NCAA. Louisville a 4 seed is also a snub.

Wonder if this will change LB's view of not scheduling teams such as NCarolina or Kansas.

Seems like we shouldn't limit ourselves in terms of scheduling.

he claims we have tried to schedule them - but they would not do it. Moody is great - but it might also be a hard place to convince people they need to come play.
