Maybe now that we get good crowds at Moody, we can afford to pay for those teams to travel to Moody, but with the great home record SMU has, it will be tough to get them to come here to play and possibly lose....just saying.

Yes, we know… Funny thing is, one of the last big games I remember attending in the 90's, was NC State at Moody. It was electric.

Although I completely agree that our snub should get coverage, I was surprised by how much coverage we received at the highest level. It sure says something when you are a headline after missing out on the tourney. Glad we are getting recognition beyond our Tshirt fans and on pony fans and outside of Dallas

Kind of tired of always getting attention for failure. I am ready to be an SMU fan that is proud of our accomplishments as well as our effort. I think we have been wandering in the desert for 39 yrs - and with a couple of key additions next year we could finally find the promised land.

Perhaps they changed their mathematics in RPI, but the MVC made hay because their best teams would schedule putrid teams from strong conferences and get RPI bumps. I seem to remember that Hofstra was one of the better teams in the CAA a year or two ago. TCU was going to be chum in the Big XII. Rhode Island is an up and down program in the A-10, but has never been a champion like Temple was. However the A-10 got shook up as well with new teams like GW in there. In the new landscape, it was very hard to see who would be good in which conference this year. We lost to a 1 seed on a missed 3 with less than a minute to play. Had four wins against teams that are dancing. Clearly, as LB noted, once Louisville came in as a four seed, he knew our conference was in trouble and we were going to probably be left out. I hope Louisville meets Memphis in the finals and that Memphis uses GW like an old rag.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
