I'm sure UTEP would love to play us Home/Home. Might getcha beat in El Paso

Agree with UTEP-SMU playing in a series. . . Especially since it looks like the only other OOC Texas school that will do a home-and-home series with SMU is TCU

traditional opponents we could have scheduled that would have helped our resume

SFA 57 RPI
Tulsa 73
UTEP 95

I'd like to see SFA and perhaps La Tech or So. Miss. They're all solid programs and if we did a home and home the travel would be easier on the team than a trip to WY or RI.

If we want to play the other texas schools, we need to have the administration and coach brown publicly blast them for not playing us. And I mean more than passive statements that teams don't want to schedule us in interviews it needs to be "team x won't play us we offered them a home and home or anuetral site game and they won't play us. They are afraid to play us bcause we would beat them and they know it". Every interiew about smu basketball for the next year will include a question about non conference schedule and that should be the response. If you did that consistantly UT, TT, and Baylor alums would eventually crack and force the game because the only thing they can't stand more than a successful smu is a successful smack talking smu.

Didn't Fresno St have that mantra in football not long ago under Pat Hill?

Our new motto for SMU BB needs to be:

"anybody, anywhere, anytime."

bing bing bing. Its time to name names.

I would also have our AD say publically we think it is wrong that AAC had no representation on the committee and the results of that, plus the ACC having two members, is self evident. Call it what it was - if Rick cant do it than Turner needs to do so. The ACC unethically jammed NC State in there at our expense - and we need to say so.

Tired of being everyone's punching bag.

quite frankly it makes less sense economically to play the Big 12 South and Arkansas type teams. We used to schedule them for attendance. Now we don't need or want them in our seats but they would still demand a large payout to come to Moody even if they agreed which they won't. Unless you want to schedule them for Downtowm. Are SMU fans going to pay big bucks to play downtown? I don't think we are ready unless you are talking Kentucky, North Carolina

Hope/expect SMU to straight out "punk" NC State next year. Although Larry Brown carries himself with dignity. Really hope/expect that when SMU has a 20 point lead with 5 minutes left in the game. They throw out a full court trapping press, and get the point spread up to 35 by the end of the game. After the game, the SMU players can walk out of the RBC Center blowing kisses and laughing at NC State fans

You mean dunk on them in the last second when the game is clearly won like Harrell did to SMU?

Not sure that playing Indiana will help our schedule.

They're going to be loaded next year depending on who stays. They were good this year. And they still help the RPI. If anything, I'd be more concerned because Assembly Hall won't be an easy win and they will certainly be much better. They were extremely young this year, each of them will be a year older and they have another great class coming in. They have a 5* signed and a very high 4* coming in. If nothing else, they help the OOC schedule a lot because they are almost guaranteed to be an RPI top 100 game.

Anybody, anytime, anywhere. They also had "shut up and hit someody", but I dont think we could use that for basketball, unfortunately. I would love to see smu challenge some teams on their home courts and adopt a similar motto.LB said he wont play against coaches that he used to coach with right? So no kentucky, KU, etc?
