I hope that number is true. When I called the ticket office this afternoon, a rep told me that 3,000 was expected for the game.

Wow...hope that's not true. What tiem did you call? Other people earlier today said they heard 4,000, 5,000, and "2,000 left" which would bode well for a good crowd.

I don't really care if I have to sit in the very top row. The beer will be cold. The view will be great. The team will hear me just the same.

I have no idea, but somehow I suspect no. NCAA rules prohibit it at NCAA championships. This is not a championship, but the NCAA finds a way to ruin everything so...

I called mid-afternoon, maybe he meant 3,000 left?

I just remember beer not being allowed at other NCAA games. I've never been to a NIT game so I wasn't sure if it was governed under the same rules.

That said, I couldn't care less. Just need to know how much to drink before the game!

Are they counting the red seats as tickets sold since they aren't available to the public? That might be the difference in the "hopeful" number and the real number...

the unclaimed reds were turned back and are available for others to buy. THere are even court side seats available - or at least there were.

Lots of folks planned travel so that they would be able to travel on Thursday - so they are out on the game but will be coming to future games.
