Obviously the instant replay allows for reversing calls. However, reversals in calls in all sports are frowned apon (without instant replay)and particularly a call with as much time a lapsed as the 2 point loss. I don't beleave the avg official would have reversed. Moreover, they were not calling lots of stuff and the game was getting out of hand. It seemed SMU got more physical the second half and forsed the officials to call more closely.

From my living room I couldn't see the calls as well as others. The blocked looked to me like he got him with the body. He jumped into the shooter, not straight up. Still an iffy call but that might have been what one of the three blind mice saw.

Some of the sideline/baseline calls were iffy from the living room but I sure couldn't see what actually happened.

If did seem they were consistent in 'creative' calls all in all both ways.

However, one expects some favorable calls at home with the crowd into the game. That is fairly consistent anywhere.

I totally agree that reversing calls is not good, but on the elbow swinging it had to be done. They reviewed to see if it was flagrant and easily saw there was not even any contact. This is the way they should treat the targeting foul in football. If they rule it is not targeting and the player should not be ejected, then there should be no penalty either.

Live I thought it was a terrible call but when they showed the replay on the scoreboard I saw the same thing - tons of body contact. Of course, that doesn't mean those sorry officials actually saw that. :)
