Review #1. (early Feb 2014)
"If you LOVE BED BUGS, then this hotel is the place for you! Long queue to check-in just to find that the rooms are disgusting. Staff seem over-worked hence are curt. There is a coffee shop in the lobby and it seems that their staff's only aim is to be RUDE to you.... and to charge you for giving you food poisoning! Avoid it at all costs! Room Tip: Just don't go. It is safer to sleep in Central Park or on the streets"

Review #2. (Stayed March 2014)
“Never ever think of booking - dangerously dirty”
The worst hotel ever , incredibly rude staff and once you leave the lobby the dirt and grime is immense and dangerous to health!! Avoid at any cost , this is not a hotel , nor upto hostel standard !! Just so so disgusting"

Heard that's where the band is staying. Does anyone know where the team is staying?

Marriott Marquis I believe.

When I travel to the city on business, I stay there (love those points). The only downside is that you are generally far from the really good restaurants. Most of the restaurants near Times Square are tourist traps.

If anyone is adventurous, Koreatown is down the street from the Garden. It is an easy walk.

There are ridiculous amounts of great restaurants of all kinds all over the city but very few around Times Square. Best head downtown with the cool kids to eat.

BBQ? Hill Country on 26th. Blue Smoke on 27th. Blue Smoke has a solid selection of Bourbons and whiskeys as well. It's a great place to hang out. Great jazz downstairs.

Marriott Marquis:

wow, this is top draw place, not cheap. right in the heart of times square. you can walk to restaurant row on 46th street. also right near all the theaters. I am very impressed if they are staying there.

Anywhere in Midtown is fine. I wouldn't be too concerned about staying next to the Garden, it's easy to get in and out if you're not within walking distance.

Too bad about Hotel Penn. It used to be the Statler Hilton a long time ago.I used to stay there in the early 70's when it was fairly nice. It sure would be convenient to Penn Station and the Garden

I stayed in Manhatten once about 3 or 4 blocks from MSG. It was about $350/night. Do not remember the name. It was a tall building with a lot of rooms and large glass doors. Anyone know?

I am staying in Jersey and catching the bus to Manhattan. Anyone with a good recommendation of an area to look for a hotel? Thinking Fort Lee or Secaucus. Any better suggestions>

Be sure to check with Governor Christie about the best time and route to take.

Hoboken can be a lot of fun. Plenty of restaurants and entertainment.

Team is definitely staying at the Marriott Marquis Times Square. I'm so excited I have seen Madison Square Garden a number of times, but have never been inside. Now I'm getting to see it the best possible way because MY FAVORITE TEAM is playing there!

Hmmm, all of the Affinia hotels in Midtown look cool, fun and reasonable… and Holiday Inn Express close to MSG looks good too. Have lots of $$ to redeem on Hotels.com and they are all on that site.
I'm booking my flight now for Finals, still cheap on SWAir if you fly in Thursday and leave Saturday... will book room when/if we beat Clemson.
