Unfortunately Towel Care & Waving is not a "for credit" course. The biggest challenge Keef is facing right now is on the school side of the skill set. He is going to have a very tough time staying eligible.

Hopefully the same great attitude he displays at all times not only results in him being a better player, it helps on the school end of things as well.

Is that speculation or knowledge?

It's pretty common knowledge that Keith has academic issues.......hopefully he will get a handle in it the rest of the semester and this summer as he has a great opportunity at SMU.

Keith not only has academic issues, but his basketball IQ is also not good. He needs to fully understand both O and D concepts plus where and how he fits into both concepts. These are quasi-academic issues to understand the concepts, philosophy and implementation. Unfortunately, Keith was never forced to address these issues and now he is now struggling to catch up and be held accountable.

Perhaps he can take a couple of summer school classes at UNC and have them transfer back into SMU...

Once I heard about the Kimball scandal, I imagined SMU put a lot of preventive effort for Keith not failing. SMU saves face, as well as DISD. It is a lot bigger than him staying eligible for basketball.

Great point.

His infectious enthusiasm on the bench really really makes it hard not to pull for him. He seems like a good kid off the court as well. I really want him to succeed in school and on the court.
