One more thing is I like Parsons as a player but I'm fearful we grossly overpaid for him. Way too much money.

Agreed, but I think even Cuban would admit that. It's the whole "combine his salary with Dirk's and then you're getting what you paid for" pitch they're selling. With that being said, fans will most likely need to temper expectations on Parsons a little bit.
I did love Dirk's quote that Parsons has to pay for all of his meals on the road since "it's my money anyways." Another reason to love Dirk!!

Having Tyson C, Dirk, and Chandler P in at the same time was nasty. So much length.

Just about everyone in the NBA is grossly overpaid.

Dirk's a funny guy... and a great teammate.

and I think Parsons will be fine. He actually made a number of nice
defensive plays early in the game, despite rough shooting night.

Dirk loves to hold a joke over everyone's head. I wish we could make him mayor emeritus of Dallas. above Staubach, Modano and Aikman, the best sports ambassador we have.

The way the cap is set to increase ($65M to proj. $80M) when the new TV deal kicks in, it won't be a bad deal. Plus it's only 3 years...he becomes an expiring contract at the trade deadline next year, if Cuban and Co. want to move him.

I hope we can get him to a game this season.

Yes, that will be a huge cap increase. The Mavs will have TC's $15 million and Wright's $5 million come off the books, which leaves them in the neighborhood of $30 million under the cap. I believe we will resign TC to a Dirk type deal - 3 years/25 million. Then, Cuban might throw a max deal at Aldridge. I also want them to lock up Monta. He has a player option next season.

Guess again, expert. Top 4 barring injury.

For the record, please tell us the 5 teams better.
